BSW and MMH (Completing)
Sylvie Noutie, BSW, is a passionate social worker currently pursuing a master’s degree in mental health at the Université du Québec. With a rich and diverse career, she has gained extensive experience as a school social worker, mental health counselor, and mental health consultant. Before becoming a social worker, Sylvie worked for many years as a French interpreter and translator and spent several years in financial institutions, holding a bachelor’s degree in accounting before transitioning to her true calling: mental health and social justice.
Her unique journey, blending expertise in multiple fields, reflects a deep understanding of human and systemic challenges. As a mother of five children, she brings a rich and authentic perspective to her work, particularly when supporting parents and their children through life’s complexities.
Guided by an unwavering passion for mental health and social justice, Sylvie strives to help individuals, youth, families, organizations, and communities thrive. She firmly believes that there is always a glimmer of hope, even in the darkest moments, and she accompanies her clients in discovering that light amidst their personal “wilderness.”
Her multidisciplinary expertise, enriched by her experience in mental health, translation, and finance, and her humanistic approach make her a valuable ally for those seeking to overcome personal or systemic challenges while cultivating a more balanced and fulfilling future.
